xHockey's Summer Camps give your hockey player the unmatched experience, expertise, and passion necessary for maximum skill development! Development comes first! That’s the idea behind the most extensive off-season training program out there.  Our Summer Development Camps offer aspiring young hockey players the opportunity to develop their skills in a positive, yet challenging environment.

Camp 1: Checking Camp- Peewee and Bantam

Description: Our checking camps are designed to ease the transition into Bantams. Checking is a big part of the game and the goal of the camp is to teach proper technique ad player safety. It is critical for player's to be able to give and receive body checks without worrying about potential injury. We know that the more confident a player is in protecting themselves, the more likely they are to go after the puck and play aggressive.

Camp 2: Defensive Skills Camp- Squirt/U10 and Peewee/U12

Description: Our defensive skills camp is a great way to learn the defensive fundamentals and skills necessary to be successful on the ice. The program focuses on foot speed, gap control, increasing lateral movement, backwards skating, pressure vs. contain, 1 on 1's and more. The camp is for forwards and defensemen.

Camp 3: Dekes and Dangles- Squirt/U10 and Peewee/U12

Description: The Dekes and Dangles Camp will focus on stick handling and making moves on an opponent. Camp is for the A/B level hockey player, as the drills will be more advanced.

Dates: June 25-June 28th
Time:   7:00-8:15 PM
Schedule: Monday thru Thursday
Levels: Squirt/U10 and Peewee/U12

Camp 4: Puck-Handling Skills- Adv. Mite/U8 and Squirt/U10

Description: This camp focuses on maintaining possession of the puck, while skating, stick-handling, shooting, and passing.  Tips and techniques will be taught to help players learn how to make adjustments with their hands, body and stick, to help keep control of pucks as much as possible. Dryland will be focused on isolating specific stick handling fundamentals that will transfer onto the ice and create a more confident puck handler.

Dates: July 9-July 12
Time: 5:45-8:00pm (5:45-6:45pm On Ice / 7:00-8:00pm Dryland)
Schedule: Monday thru Thursday
Levels: Adv. Mite/U8 and Squirt/U10

Camp 5: Total Skills Camp- Squirt/U10 and Peewee/U12

Description: This camp is intended to get players out of their comfort zones when it comes to skating, puck-handling and game situations.  SKATING FOCUS: mechanics, edgework and balance, tight turns, crossovers, forward and backward transitions, etc.  PUCK-HANDLING FOCUS: develop confidence with the puck (soft hands, quicker hands, range of motion) and focus on a player's ability to handle a puck while maintaining their skating speed and vision.  Both under speed and over speed drills will be run, helping players gain confidence with and without the puck. SMALL AREA GAMES/CONCEPTS: Create situations where player's will learn how to utilize their skills in a game setting (Hockey IQ). 
DRYLAND- small group setting, heavily focused on individual skills: shooting, stickhandling, multi-tasking (hands, feet, vision), and skating.

Dates: July 16-July 26 (Monday thru Thursday- 2 weeks)
Time:   5:45-8:00pm
Duration: 2 hours/day (1 hour on-ice, 1 hour dryland)
Levels: Squirt/U10 and Peewee/U12

Camp 6: Shooting and Goal Scoring - Squirt/U10 and Peewee/U12

Description: This camp will make every player a bigger offensive threat.  By knowing when, and how, to shoot in different situations; players will create more chances for themselves- resulting in more goals.  Players will learn where the prime scoring areas are, how to get there, and what to do when they get there.  Skating is a very important piece to the puzzle, which is why each day will start with skating instruction.  Dryland will focus on shooting mechanics, quick release, accuracy, and strength of shot.

Camp 7: Power Skating- Squirt/U10 and Peewee/U12

Description: The Power Skating camp will focus on skating mechanics, edges, balance, agility, and quickness. Our goal is to introduce a basic foundation of all skating and skill techniques. Dryland will focus on specific functional movements and exercises to  improve a player's mechanics, speed/explosiveness, and quickness.

Dates: August 6- August 9
Time:   5:45-8:00pm

Levels: Squirt/U10 and  Peewee/U12
