Checking Clinics

2024 Checking Camps and Clinics

Our Checking Clinics are designed to ease the transition into Bantams.  Checking is a big part of the game and the goal of the clinic is to teach proper technique and player safety. It is critical for player's to be able to give and receive body checks without worrying about potential injury.  We know that the more confident a player is in protecting themselves, the more likely they are to go after the puck and play aggressive.

  • Player Protection

  • Proper technique of giving and receiving hits

  • Angling and Positioning

  • Along the wall work

Program Overview

  • Participants will receive 4 hours of on-ice professional instruction.

  • A maximum of 16 participants will be allowed.

  • Clinics are primarily designed for players entering their first year of body checking, but all Peewee and Bantam players are eligible to participate.
