Prior to coming to Total Hockey Minnesota, Pete served as the Director of Hockey Operations and Site Director for the past 8 years at the Hudson, Wisconsin Total Hockey/Exceed training facility.
Pete's playing career includes playing for the Hudson Raiders where he holds the all-time record for points in Hudson HS history. He played Junior A Hockey in the USHL for the Twin Cities Vulcans and was a member of the 2000 National Championship team. Pete played NCAA Division 1 hockey in the WCHA for the University of Alaska-Anchorage and University of Wisconsin. At UAA, he was awarded the Team Rookie of the Year honors.
Pete brings a significant background in coaching and training hockey players to Total Hockey Minnesota.
Bryce has played over 850 games in the NHL with the St. Louis Blues and New Jersey Devils, and served as captain of the Devils for his final 3 seasons before retirement. Bryce provides his professional experience and his dedication to helping hockey players excel on an ongoing basis. He is involved in various training programs offered at Total Hockey Minnesota during the off-season.
Ryan has been coaching hockey for 16 years at all levels - girls and boys. Ryan started coaching at age 16 as an instructor for four years at PDP Hockey School in Woodbury, MN. He was a lead coach / instructor for the Total Training Summer Hockey Camp at Fogerty Arena in Blaine, MN. Ryan's experience includes coaching the Spring Lake Park Boys High School JV team and was the Spring Lake Park Girls High School Varsity Assistant Coach.
Ryan is passionate about coaching and teaching at all levels of the game and is excited to be a part of Total Hockey Minnesota.
Coach Mory has spent the past 4 years developing hockey players at Total Hockey Minnesota/ xHockeyProducts training facility.
A native of Belleville, Illinois. Coach Brett Mory is also entering his 2nd year as assistant coach for the Steele County Blades, in the USPHL (Junior A- Tier 3 level).
Coach Mory played his youth hockey in St. Louis, Missouri. In 2013, he made the transition into junior hockey with the Cincinnati Swords of the NA3HL. He played in Cincinnati for two years before making the transition to college hockey. Coach Mory furthered his playing career at Lindenwood University- Belleville for two additional seasons.
Coach Brett currently resides in Lakeville, MN.
Kenton began his career in the strength and conditioning field in 2009 under General Manager, Pete Talafous at the Total Hockey Training facility in Hudson, Wisconsin. During his time at Total Hockey -Hudson, Coach Manhart trained athletes of all age and ability levels through skills and strength training.
Kenton’s playing career started in Billings, Montana for 15 years where he held the high school record for points in his senior year of high school. He then moved to Hudson, Wisconsin to play for the Hudson Crusaders in the MNJHL at the Junior A level. He played two seasons in Hudson and served as assistant captain before playing briefly for Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.
Kenton found his passion for strength and conditioning through Total Hockey Hudson, and pursued a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition and Dietetics from Concordia College. Since then, he has been running strength programs for the last 5 years at the YMCA in Fargo, North Dakota.
Coach Connelly joins us in the off-season for the 2nd year in a row. He brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding in the game of hockey. Coach Brian is great with kids and loves to share his passion.
Connelly signed a contract with the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL. In his first seasons with the Blackhawks affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs, Connelly quickly developed as the main scoring presence on the IceHogs defense. In the 2010–11 season, Connelly was selected and played in the 2011 AHL All-Star Game.
In the following 2011–12 season, Connelly was traded to the Calgary Flames in exchange for veteran Brendan Morrison on February 27, 2012. Connelly finished with a combined 52 points, placing second in the AHL amongst defenseman to earn a position in the AHL Second All-Star Team.
On July 6, 2012, Connelly signed as a free agent to a two-year, two-way contract with the Minnesota Wild.
Connelly currently plays for the Austrian club Champions, EC Red Bull Salzburg of the EBEL.
Coach Ian attends The Penn State University and is majoring in Kinesiology / Exercise Science and is planning on graduating May 2019. He grew up in South Florida and played most of his childhood hockey there before college. He played ACHA D2 (Club) for the Penn State Ice Lions as a Defenseman. Coach Malbec took on the role of Assistant Coach for the ACHA D1 Women's Ice Hockey Team. He is working with the team as an on ice coach and an off ice strength and conditioning coach. Ian is excited for the opportunity here at XHPTF.
Brendan Rose has been with xHPTF/Total Hockey MN for the past 2 years as a Zamboni Driver and Coach.
Coach Carlson is beginning his second summer training and developing hockey players at /xHockeyProducts Training Facility.
Logan began his coaching career at age 16 while also playing varsity hockey. After graduating high school he went on to get his bachelors of applied science in athletic training from UMD, then went on to his masters of arts in sport management from MSU. During his first year at MSU, Logan was the lead coach for the Squirt C Development Program.
Coach Carlson has worked with all age and skill levels, and is passionate about developing hockey players and young people.
Logan is also currently the head athletic trainer at Forest Lake High School working with all high school sports.
